How do I Auto-Add a bonus item for Square Online?

Hi!

I was wondering if anyone know how to set-up an automation where when one item is added to a customer cart (square online), another item is added automatically. In my case, when a customer adds a physical item to their cart, a "hidden" digital item is added as well. The digital item is set to a $0.01.

I don't want to bundle the items, as the physical item has variations and I would have to create a bundle for each variation, of each item... a lot work than being able to have to digital item auto add.

I'm new to using the square online platform. I have been doing some research in the community forums but have yet to find an answer to this question.

Hi Yograndpagotit,

Presently I don't believe there's a feature or option that can do what you have in mind. You can submit it as a Feature Request for future consideration. I have seen where this could be done using a custom script in the PayPal world - it requires some custom java script coding which is beyond the scope of this Community. Square does have a Developer Forum and it's possible you could find someone there who has some insight on doing what you have in mind. If any of the Community members here have some thoughts or a work around I'm sure they will share.
