Coupons, why 2 places to create, and are they going away?

Coupons, I have them defined in 2 places, they are have different names in each place. This happened due to my newness to Square and researching, etc.

The first place is navigated to by
Online (for my site)/Shared Settings/coupons

The second is
Online/online/marketing&loyalty/marketing/coupons

Questions, what is the difference between the two sets of coupons?

I have sent these questions and more last week to support and have not heard anything.

Is there truth that all these coupons will be going away. Since I’m new, can someone point me in the direction to find out what is going on with coupons. TIA.

I do think eventually the coupons will be centralized but I do think currently the coupons for in-store and online have to be created separately.

Thank you for your reply. I only have an online store, so only see the world from this view. Are you saying one is for in-store and one for online?

Both sets of coupons work on my online site. It’s so confusing. I have called support about coupons and have gotten conflicting results. Thought if I can get an explaination in writing from that would help….still waiting.

im holding up announcing my site because of seeing coupons going away at some point. Don’t want to announce with coupon and then not have them available.
