Flat Fee shipping rate not showing up on order summary

I set up a flat rate shipping profile and linked it to an item. When I edited the item, I selected Shipping under fulfillment methods and assigned a weight. However, when I test it out by purchasing it online, the shipping fee is not showing up. I have even entered my address in the shipping address. Any suggestions?
