Hey @maloney1.. I fired up Square AI and asked it this question -- do sandbox receipt links actually work and show information? It replied as follows:

Sandbox receipt links in Square simulate real receipts and do show transaction information as they reflect itemized breakdowns, discounts, taxes, and payment details. They work similarly to live receipts for testing purposes.

That being said, I wonder if you need to view them in the development environment somewhere to view them. That one I don't know, but maybe someone else does.

@maloney1 Square AI just might have hallucinated that answer. LOL. See this post I found in the Developer Forum. I'm going to tag @Bryan. I'd recommend going to that forum and tagging Bryan-Square in a new post to see if anything has changed.

It would be nice for this to be mentioned somewhere in the payments API documentation.
