Shipping setup struggle -I have products that vary in size and weight

I have products that vary in size and weight, and I can't seem to figure out how to make the real time shipping to work accurately. It doesn't seem to combine products in an order to calculate the shipping correctly. How do I set this up to work right?

If you figure it out please let us know 'cause we just do flat rate/free shipping depending upon spend amount. @TheRealChipA any insight into this?

I’m nearing a strikeout today @DinaLRosenberg. All I can say is you are not alone. I’ve seen posts about a few missing proceed to shipping rate calculations, besides this one. Variation-level shipping is another. At this point the only recourse is to submit a feature request and e see if a third-party app has the needed functionality.
