thread Font files failing to upload in Online Store

I'm attempting to upload my custom font files in site design, yet despite all the files being small enough and the correct file types, every attempt is met with "upload failed." Customer service has told me that this is an ongoing issue and that engineering is working on a solution but it doesnt seem likely to happen soon. Has anyone else encountered this or found a workaround?

We've hit the font upload issue too. Square's font upload in the design editor has been unreliable — even with correct file types and sizes, it just fails silently.

Workarounds:

1. Try a different format — if you're uploading .woff2, try .woff or .ttf. Sometimes one format works when another doesn't
2. Reduce file size — even if it's under the limit, try subsetting the font (removing unused character sets) using a tool like Font Squirrel's webfont generator
3. Use Google Fonts — if your font is available on Google Fonts, you can reference it via Custom CSS instead of uploading
4. Clear browser cache — sometimes the upload UI gets stuck. Try a different browser or incognito mode

If engineering is working on it as support said, it should eventually get fixed. But the Google Fonts workaround via custom CSS is probably your best bet in the meantime.
