Can't Connect to Google Merchant

I'm trying to connect to Google Merchant so my products can show on Googles Shopping searches.... I keep running into issue after issue and there is so little documentation. I've just been trying different things and hoping something works....

I'm now at a point where it asks me to select merchant center account. Except it says "The website for this Google Merchant Account does not match any of your Square Online Sites" except that the website listed is exactly the website I'm trying to set up!

Please, someone help me get this up and running. I've already spent hours on this task that was supposed to take minutes to get done!

I had tried to "Create new account" and now I have an extra account, and I can't claim my website on that extra account, because it is claimed by the other account mentioned.

You know how sometimes you need to scream about something to someone and then you figure it out on your own?

I added the www. to the name and now it is connected.... Square, maybe that is something that can be either fixed (as it is not really needed anymore, and has not been needed for over a decade) or it can be better documented?
