Deleted items showing on website

We have deleted items still showing on our website. Have been through all the suggested 'fixes' with online support but they didn't work. I see that several others with the same issue have had their items reindexed - how do we go about getting that done please? We need our online shop to go live asap but don't want to do it with these items showing. Thanks.

Hi @WindsweptIslay - I am not an expert in website stuff but have had this happen a few times because we hadn't checked a couple of settings or just a random error, so I understand why support makes you do all the "fixes" first. I prefer now to make items unavailable (helpful if you might have them later anyway and I make sure to check my sync settings more carefully now when we edit our site. I've never experienced them still showing up after doing those things and I am empathetic to what is going on for you with your launch. Do you have someone in support assisting you directly? Tagging a few people that may be able to get your more specific help @nika @isabelle (?)

If you'd like to revert your store to a certain version, you can do that by calling into support, but I'm not sure if that would resolve your issue.

I also like @MudFire_Dex's suggestion. Marking an item as unavailable vs. deleting AND checking sync settings! Sorry this is happening! We are rooting for your online shop launch!

If it is indeed urgent, I do recommend calling into support 855-700-6000.

I mark everything unavailable or not visible on the site, too, or sometimes it pops back up.

I have several items that have been deleted for months from my item library but I can not get them to disappear from my website.

I have cleared cache, tried to switch templates on my Shop All page, republished my website in private mode - everything that the support bot has suggested and nothing has worked.

I don't want my customers to keep asking me for these items and need them off my website 🙂

I wanted to step in and see how I can help. So I went ahead and reached out to our eCommerce team on these issues and I have good news!

@maebloomco, our eCommerce team was able to re-index your site and said that things should be resolved now! Could you please double-check that is the case on your side and let me know?

@WindsweptIslay, they also re-indexed your site, but they were wondering if would you be able to send over an item or two that is being impacted? That way they they can double-check it worked for your site as well.

I will keep an eye out for your replies in the meantime.

I am having the same issue on my website. There are approximately 20 images that should not be on the website. They do not show up in the image gallery.

I have tried all suggestions to no avail.

Having the same issue with an item that has been deleted from inventory. We changed many items from individual items to variations with new SKUs for the website. Deleted previous item. I am having this issue too and also new items are not appearing on my website. Here are two examples:

@trbauer @parcels I've reached out to our eCommerce team for support with looking into the issue you are having with items still appearing on the website even when they have been deleted or marked as not available online. I'll follow up once I have an update from the team.

@fairtide when you have a moment, could you share a link to an example of images that should not be visible on your site? That will really help speed up the investigation on our end.

Good morning Tranguyen, and thanks for the responses to the above issues. We too have this issue on our site, www.goodwillfinds.ca The items have been I woud say over the last few months, have been reloaded to our ecommerce site, well after they were sold and or deleted. Now currently I am unable to refresh or delete certain items that show availability on our Ecommerce site specifically in the Last Chance Catagory. Should I reach out to technical support, or is there an update or fix that can be completed. Thanks so much for your patience and expertise.

@trbauer & @parcels, I just want to circle back and let you know our team has been able to reindex your site, so the items should no longer be visible. I double-check using the link you shared above and can confirm I'm not seeing the item on my end either.

@Goodwill-Matt I can definitely escalate it on my end and get our tech team to look into this! Before I do so, I just want to confirm the behaviour you are seeing — within your Square Dashboard, the item is coming up as sold out/not available, but it is still visible on the website, is that correct? Is there a specific item within the Last Chance category you can share with me as an example? Having one will really help when I escalate it further.

Thank you for that quick response. The Unitron Moxi Hearing aid was deleted yesterday from our inventory, and removed from the Square platform, yet shows up on the Last Chance section. The remaining items without the "Sale Tag" were also removed at a previous date too completely from our inventory, and continue to show up on the Last Chance section. In particular, the elegance 3 piece silverplate was removed maybe 3 weeks ago completely and it too only shows on our website and no where else in our inventory on Square. I do hope this is the answer you were needing. Thanks again, and very apprecited.

Hey @Goodwill-Matt, our team was also able to reindex your site! I had a quick look there and couldn't see the items you've screenshot visible on the site, so it should be working as expected now.

I am having the same issue - i have a deleted item still showing up on my site, even though it has been removed from my inventory. It also allows the customer to buy an unlimited quantity of this item, even though all of my items are one-off.
