"Add more items" does not return to previous page and shows items I do not want customer to see

I am providing some customers a link to allow them to shop for a particular category. After putting something in their cart they are given an "add more items" button which shows them everything in the store. Yikes! That is not what I want.

IMHO it should go back to the page it came from.

How can I control this button or eliminate this button?

Unfortunately, that button isn’t customizable right now — it always sends customers back to the full store. 😕

A workaround is using item-specific links or a private category/store so customers only see what you want them to see. I’d also submit feedback to Square — you’re not alone on this one.

That workaround does not work! I _do_ give my customers a specific category link, which works fine. But when they put something in the cart then the cart view has a button "add more items" which then shows everything.

IMHO that button should take them back to the previous screen. Or be customizable - but I know that's harder

@Stacelyn24 may be correct that it is not customizable but the "workaround" offered is not correct.
