How can I track sales for a specific category over time?

I can see the total sales for a category over a period of time. I can see the sales day to day for my entire store.
I want to see the sales day to day for just one category.

Hi 👋 and welcome to the Seller Community @GroceryCoffee!

You can view this information by using the Advanced Options on your Square Dashboard:

Sign in to your Dashboard and head to the Reports tab.
Click Category Sales.
Click on the date selector in the top left to select a specific day.
Click Advanced Options and then Item Category to filter by a specific category.
Click the + icon next to Gross Sales on the right side of the screen to filter or add more information, e.g. Refunds, Net Sales
Use the date selector to review category sales for a specific day or over a range of days.

You can also download this report to your computer by clicking Export in the upper right from the Reports tab.
