Weebly: How I customize delivery (shipping) area by city in my online store ?

I just build online store on Weebly. But we deliver (ship) to certan cities only. I have option to choose the province only. But we can't deliver all over province. Is it any options ! Please help me ! Really need this store working !

Hi @LilyK! Currently you can only select a province (or 'Region') to ship to with the Weebly Online Store. I checked with our Weebly specialists and they mentioned the following workarounds:

When you're setting up your products on your site, make it very clear that you only deliver to specific cities.
Name your shipping rule something like “Delivery/shipping to X, Y, Z [city names] only”.
You can cancel any orders that don’t fall into your delivery range.

Also keep in mind that if you're advertising your business/website in a particular city that you deliver to, the majority of your traffic will be from that area - so you might not have to cancel too many orders.

In the meantime I'll share you feedback with the team that being able to set up local or city-specifcy delivery options - rather than wider shipping options - is an important feature for you. Thanks for flagging this!

@Helen I also agree that there should be cities that we are able to ship to not just provinces. We do not ship to rural areas as some couriers don't do so well. Making the customer purchase and then a refund is a bad experience and naming 15+ cities in a shipping name isnt ideal.

@Helen We at Gourmet On Wheels would also benefit greatly from setting it to Delivery and pick zip codes or areas 5, 10. 25, a 50-mile radius.

@Helen That does not work as I cannot select Counties, Cities. Only states, Stil not able to switch to a Square Online store.

We need to be able to deliver by zip code. Los Angeles is huge. There is no way any restaurant, regardless of size would be able to hit all corners of this city. It may take two hours to drive from one side of town to the other!

As far as shipping goes, we use a courier to ship to our region (So Cal). we need to be able to custom tailor our shipping areas based upon zipcodes!

This program needs improvement, and fast!

@Helen @Tacobro If zipcode selection cannot be done quickly, how about neighborhood names. In a city as large as Los Angeles, there are countless zip codes and a manageable list of neighborhood names.

I am still waiting when you will be able to customize delivery or shipping option by cities or postal code. I really like new delivery option on my square site but unfortunately can't use it because we already build customers in certain cities and can't expand other areas ( using radius 30km for example).

We deliver only to West Great Toronto Areas already for 3 years. Using 30 km radius we had to expand 30 km East too. But it's impossible for our small business at the moment.

It's extremely inconvenient to do refunds for new customer. No one reads delivery rules on our website before placing orders. It will be very helpful for small businesses like mine if you build this feature in nearest future. Thank you!

Nothing new to report yet, For now, the workarounds provided in the best answer is the way to go

We're still rolling out features to enhance the functionality of our Online Store - especially as it relates to delivery/pickup. We'll keep you in-the-know when we get an update.

Is there a way to allow delivery to only certain zip codes, and different zip codes depending on the day of the week?

Also, do you have a tip for quickly importing several hundred different postal codes?
