Is it possible to set up an item that automatically charges a credit card each month for a set amount of time?

I'm not sure what you mean by auto-renewal item but you can set up recurring invoices to charge a customer's card on file at a certain time each month or few months.

Is that what you're looking for?

How do I sell a service online with auto-renewal?

It appears I need to manually create an invoice to do this?

Is there any way a person can purchase a service from me (like a monthly membership) online

without me needing to manually set up & send a recurring invoice?

You're correct in that you would need to set up a recurring invoice series to do this.

I dont want to set up a recurring invoice (manually).

I am trying to get the monthly recurring charge on checkout.

Is there a way to do that?
