Background colours for Items

I have a pretty simple problem that I just can't figure out!

Upon adding items, there's an option for colours as a background. At first, I chose a colour. But, as I added all my product pictures I decided I wanted a white background behind the products. I cannot figure out how to change this back to white! The grey box is clicked, and it won't let me unselect it, neither is there a choice for white.

Can someone please help me fix this? It's annoying to see some pics with grey as the background, and the rest white.

FYI... I've even tried just reloading the pic, but the background remains grey.

Hey @JenneferDavis - the color options are available if you don't want to add an item image. To my knowledge, It's an either or feature.

I would reach out to our CS Team for clarity though. Loop back here to let us know what you find.

What @JustinC said - the image you upload basically fills your icon space so you might want to just use a JPG image and choose the background color you want as you create/save the image.

Although ... the developers could add some theme options! Some shops might like the entire interface to have a branded background colour or background image behind the payment options... just sayin.
