So I had a client purchase a gift certificate for her niece a few weeks ago. Her niece came in and got the service done that the gc was for. She unfortunately forgot the gift card so I told her mom to screen shot the back of the card for me. I’ve reached out a few times and she obviously couldn’t be bothered. Is there any way to see the number on the gift card to redeem it myself?

I have exported the gift certificate report but the numbers are still hidden.

If you know the details of the transaction where the eGift Card was purchased, you can locate it, and once there you can resend this gift card to yourself. When you get the email the card details will be there. You can also clear the balance of the card if that is all you need.

Here is how to clear an eGift Card from the online Square Dashboard:

Go to Reporting in your online Square Dashboard > Transactions.
Search for the eGift Card sale by:
- Filtering the transaction search by item > enter eGift Card.
- Searching the receipt number from the eGift Card’s purchase.
- Searching using the last 4 digits of the eGift Card.
Once you’ve located the transaction, select it and click the blue eGift Card number in the transaction details.
Click Clear Balance.
To confirm this request, enter the current eGift Card’s remaining balance.
Click Clear.

Sorry, I didn’t realized that you responded until now. It was actually a card gift certificate that was purchased in store . Is there a way I can clear a balance with one of those?

To clear the balance of a physical gift card, you would need the number or the card to be present @EstheticsbyV
