Checkout taxes not registering

can someone please help me. example is if my subtotal is $8 and then the shipping is $3 and the tax is lets say 58 cents the total should be $11.58 but its not adding the tax by itself. it just says that the tax is included in the item price. I want it to be added but not in the price.

I would check that you setup your tax registations on the Square Online side of things (it's in a different spot than your taxes for in person sales). From your Square Dashboard, go to Online > Settings > Sales Taxes. Then at the bottom there's a section for Tax Registrations. Clicking Manage will let you add all areas that you are collecting taxes for your shipped/online orders. Leaving Apply Automatically on for the shipped orders will allow Square to auto calculate the tax rates for your areas and apply them to online orders.
