Adding a Notes Column to the view in Orders

Sometimes in our pending orders, we need to add notes about the order (e.g., provide a free book to this order, etc.). Currently we are writing notes about orders on a notepad.

It would be beneficial to have an additional column added to Orders view, to allow us to write specific comments about the order before it is shipped.

Would this be possible. It would help us greatly to be more organized.
