    <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks Charlie,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The problem is that I can't set permissions for marketing manually so can't send marketing emails to customers who haven't subscribed online. I called square and there doesn't seem to be a work around for this.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I collected marketing consent with paper intake forms and now need to get my customers to sign up online as well. &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":disappointed_face:"&gt;😞&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I'm trying to navigate square marketing and can't assign customers to an email subscription list manually and am unable to send marketing emails without customers subscribed for email marketing.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I use square appointments and all my customer information comes from appointments booking app. My customer marketing consent is gathered with client intake forms filled out in person which I need to somehow manually enter as my customers have not subscribed online.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any help with this would be much appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

If you need to manually add an email....first go to your Dashboard &amp;gt;Customers. If the customer is already in your system, find their name and scroll down through their info and see if they are subscribed to Marketing...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="Screen Shot 2021-12-31 at 10.35.19 AM.png" style="width: 420px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://community.squareup.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/18962iFB41DEDA409D4D1D/image-size/large?v=v2&amp;amp;px=999" role="button" title="Screen Shot 2021-12-31 at 10.35.19 AM.png" alt="Screen Shot 2021-12-31 at 10.35.19 AM.png" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If they are not, you may need to edit their information and add their email address. This should automatically do a test and see if this is a valid email. If it is, then it should subscribe them to Marketing. If it is not valid email, it may show up as "bounced".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you customer is NOT currently in your system, you would Add a New Customer from your Dashboard. When you add their info include their email address, and just as in the above situation, if it is a valid email it will add them to your Marketing.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I hope this helps answer your question.&amp;nbsp; &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/help/ca/en/article/5498-manage-your-customer-directory-online" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Here&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/A&gt; is some more info about managing Customers in your directory.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
