Create button with dropdown list for program to support

I have a PP button that allows the donor to select the program s/he wishes to support with her/his donation. See link below.

While Square doesn’t currently offer a native dropdown selection feature for donation programs within a single payment button, you can still achieve a similar setup using Square Payment Links.

Here’s how:

Option 1: Create Separate Donation Links for Each Program

Sign in to your Square Dashboard → Payments → Payment Links.
Click Create link.
Choose Accept a donation and click Continue.
Enter a Title for your donation link that represents the specific program (e.g., Program A Donation).
Add an optional description to clarify the purpose of the donation.
(Optional) Upload an Image relevant to the program.
(Optional) Toggle on Set donation goal and enter the goal amount and deadline.
Click Save to generate the link.
Share each unique donation link on your website or marketing channels.

This method allows clear tracking for each program.

Option 2: Use a Single Donation Link with a Custom Field

Follow Steps 1-5 from Option 1 to create a universal donation link.
In the Description field, list the program options (e.g., Program A, Program B).
Enable a Custom Field or "Add a Note" option during checkout.
Instruct donors to type the program they wish to support in the custom field.
Click Save and share the link.
