Item Variations are not showing TAX or showing the SALE PRICE I assigned.

I'm fairly new to this tool. We are selling tickets to an event and I've set up 6 'variations' under the event for the different dates. I've told it to apply tax, and I've set up a sale price and said 'onsale'.

When I go to test the purchase online it DOES NOT apply the tax, and the price is the regular price and not the sale price.
Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong? Being searching online and playing with this for 2 days now 😉
