We appreciate you posting about this, and we want to provide some clarity. Are you able to follow these steps to set the taxes up on your Payment Links?

1. From your online Square Dashboard, select Payment Links.
2. Go to Settings > General.
3. Under Automatic settings, toggle on Apply sales tax to calculate taxes based on seller and buyer location for “Sell an item,” “Accept a payment,” and “Sell classes and tickets” links.

Hi Ellie,

Thank you for your response and for the warm welcome to the Seller Community! The reason I reached out here is that the help staff online informed me that there wasn't an option to add sales tax to the Payment Link.

I followed the steps you provided, but when I navigate to my Dashboard - Payment Links - Settings - General, I don't see the "Automatic settings" option. Instead, I see the following: Payments, Installments, Email notifications, Location settings, Service charges, Coupons, Customer information, Merchant policies, and Fulfillment.

Could you please provide further guidance on this? I appreciate your assistance!

I'm sorry for the confusion here!

At this time, Payment Links do not offer tax options in Canada. Adding this feature is on our roadmap, but a launch date has not been established, unfortunately.
