Inventory on hand vs availble

I understand the difference but I am having trouble changing the inventory ON HAND. When I change inventory for any of the reasons listed, it automatically adjusts both numbers so they are the same. (on hand and available)

How do I just adjust the on hand so it is not available online like the "available".

Hello,

It will not allow me to have different numbers. If i adjust one, the other automatically adjusts to the same. Does it have to do with locations?
