How do I add a discount for customers who pick up their items?

I would like to offer a discount to customers who pick up their items from my location or from event locations. How can I go about doing that?

As it stands, the automatic discounts available at checkout are limited to Item, Quantity or Customer Group. So, what you’re hoping to achieve would be regarded as a feature request. I can see why this would be useful, as it could help boost footfall to your physical store. So, I’d encourage you to put forward a feature request on our Ideate board.

As a work around, you could create a Coupon from the Marketing tab of your Dashboard, to share with customers who collect in-store. You could then advertise this as a banner on your site, or as part of the description on your products.

You can create both a fixed amount and percentage off discounts that might help drive future pick-up sales.

I appreciate this manual approach might not be ideal, however the options available within Square Marketing are certainly worth looking at, if you haven't already.
