Is there a way to do tax exempt by customer?

If I set up a customer or if a customer sets up an account on my commerce website, can I mark that account tax exempt? I have tax exempt customers that I would like to purchase through my website because it seems to be more secure than an invoice when taking a card payment. If they are tax exempt, how do they purchase off my website?

Unfortunately, we are not yet able to setup customers for tax exempt. (we've been asking since 2022). But an additional voice like you wouldn't hurt if you wanted to give a kudo and share your thoughts here, it would be greatly appreciated.

IF you goto Settings>accounts &Setting> Payments> Sales Tax> Then click on the tax settings (Yes so many clicks)

You can scroll down to tax exemptions, There are only a limited number of options, but possibly one of those may work for your business?
