Can I have the same item in a category and in a sub category?

So I have a Category: Pokemon.

Within that I have a number of Sub categories:

Figures, Cards, Plush etc.

What I want is for the main category to show all pokemon items whichever sub category they belong to.

Then each sub category narrow down the items to that specific category.

It seems this is not possible? Am I missing something?

Hey @AxisGaming, thanks so much for your post, and welcome aboard the Seller Community!

In order to have all your items displayed in both the main categories and sub-categories, you'll have to assign all items that belong to each of the sub-categories to the main category as well.

The customer then would click on Shop All > select Pokemon and all items should display. when your customer selects a sub-category, items specific to that sub-category will show.

When I do this though - they add to the main but disappears from the sub category?

having items in multiple unrelated categories works fine.

Sorry about the delay!! I have been moving house. I have now got this to work - I can only assume it was a replication issue when I was testing the site after making the changes.
