Any advice on second hand systems?

Hi I am looking to purchase a second hand systems. Has anybody bought one secondhand? Are there any issues that have come up RU still supported? Thanks in advance Leanne.

I hope some Square Sellers can jump in here with their own experiences but from our side, there's no problem using second-hand hardware.

All of your account settings and data are stored on a cloud so no information is retained within the devices themselves - you'll be logging into them with your own account credentials.

My tips here would be that all Square hardware comes with a 2-year guarantee - it may be worth checking with the seller when they purchased their hardware, that way you'll know what your options are if anything does ever come up.

If possible, request a video of the device in action before purchasing.

Hey @Leanne2 - used kit is best!

I wouldn’t bother getting a used card reader as they’re soooo cheap to start with, but printers, tablets etc. in my business are all bought used (just got a 22” android screen for the kitchen less than 1/2 the price of a new one and it’s working away like a star).
