    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Violet, thanks for your response! Sending a gift card for the amount paid wouldn't work as the order would still show up in our system. As far as I can tell, the only way to cancel an order involves automatically issuing a refund. I need to be able to cancel the order, but issue store credit instead of a standard refund. Is there a way to accomplish this? Thanks for your time!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I’m trying to figure out how to cancel an online order and issue store credit (like a gift card) instead of refunding the customer. This seems like a common practice, so I must be missing something, but I can’t seem to figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated—thank you!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

You can review the steps to cancel Online Orders &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/8323-cancel-and-refund-orders-with-square" target="_self"&gt;here&lt;/A&gt; in our Support Center. I don't believe it's possible to issue a "store credit" instead of a refund when cancelling items/orders, but you could send an &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/8402-sell-and-send-gift-cards" target="_self"&gt;egift card&lt;/A&gt; to the customer in the amount of the credit you'd like to issue them.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I hope this information is helpful, but please do let me know if you have any additional questions.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
