website orders result in shipping address updating customer address information

When a customer sends a gift to someone else, they plug in the shipping address for the receiver of the gift. However, their square customer information is update with this shipping address. This results in the wrong address for our customers. Is there a way to stop this from happening?

I know you posted about this issue a year ago....unfortunately, this behavior is still the expected behavior. 😶 I am tagging one of our beta specialists for some insight. I'm sorry I don't have a better answer.

@Marco may have some insight on if this will be a feature that they are working on.
