Automatic Group Discount Not working

Hi have created a group that I have added my friends. Then created an automatic discount and added my friends group to it and made it a % discount.

I was expecting that when they went to checkout via online it would automatically apply a discount, but I simply cannot get it to work. The system does recognise them, and they are in the friends group applied to the automatic discount )

Any help appreciated

Hi @Rick1969,

What you appear to be referring to is the square POS discount system. This unfortunately does not translate the the square online store.

I went to create a similar discount to test and was presented with an alert that explains this:

I'm not that familiar with square online, but it seems the discount system seems to be less functional than that of the POS.

Its a little confusing as I think the terminology has changed at some time and they are referred to coupons and vouchers interchangeably.

Further confusion, and I think where you may have been led astray is where this article

Refers to the Square Online dashboard, that I think meant the Square - online dashboard, rather than the Square Online - Dashboard.

So unfortunately I think it's not going to work as you wished.
