Can I add a additional price to a text box modifier?

I want to create an option where customers can add their name to a product. However I want this to be an additional cost. Is there a way that I can make the text box modifier add a price to the item? Or a better way of doing this?

Welcome to our community and thank you for writing in!

You'll want to set up a variation to add a charge for the customisation, as variations allow you to add a dollar amount to the sale, while modifiers don't. To do this, sign in via your Square Online Dashboard, then:

1. Select Items > Site Items and select the item you'd like to edit.

2. Scroll to Variations and select Add/Manage Variations.

3. Enter the names of your variations and the corresponding prices for the item.

4. Click Save once you're done.
