Subscriptions for Pickup Orders

My customers order local produce online which I then deliver at farmers markets for them to pickup. I want to add a microgreens subscription, but Square says I can't setup subscriptions for pickup. Is there a workaround for this?

Hm, interesting, that would be nice if there were subscription pickup option. Maybe look into Square Invoices, they have a 'recurring series' option.

Hello @Wind_Dancer, thank you for your post. Welcome to the Square Community!

I am not aware of a way to setup a subscription purely for pickups, but @BrianaJo offers a great workaround! With Recurring Invoices you are able to use Card On File to process recurring or subscription-type payments. That way your payments could at least be processed automatically.

I also would suggest adding your idea as a Feature Request on our Ideate platform, as I can definitely see this being a helpful option for other seller's as well.

Hi @Wind_Dancer,

We fixed this problem with Subport. We are a Square partner in the Square marketplace.

You can set up any subscription with as many tiers/products. You can also have customers make one-time orders and you can upsell them other items too.
