I need to add a Customer Note To Orders

I am an online florist, i would like to get customers to add a greeting card message to the recipients order for delivery. Example: John orders various items for Susan's Birthday to be delivered and the message card needs to read "Happy Birthday Susan, Love John."

one single greeting card message per order is all that is required. Thank You in advance for your assistance.

Could you create a greeting card item with zero cost that has a modifier available - text box

or enable the notes section for the order but that would rely on customers knowing what you want them to tell you

As @MOLY_CAPITAL mentioned, the best option here is to create a text box modifier - this will allow customers to input their custom message.

Here's an example - Dogs name is a required custom field.
