Replacement for Facebook Marketplace

I have an antique store and thrive using Facebook Marketplace, however I would love to distance myself from meta products. It would be great if square could to build such a platform.

Vendors can choose how wide of an audience - 25/50/100 mile radius for pickup or nationwide/international if shipping

Allow customers to buy directly on the post - hold funds until product ships or is picked up.

The key to marketplace is that it’s community based so one day Billy sells a car to a guy in the next town and another day he finds a power washer listed. He just needs a square account to make the transactions and it’s all done.

I am also an author. I would love to have an online community like marketplace and booktok to announce a new release, share fan art, promote local book signings, and of course sell books.

This is a huge build but you already have many of the elements in place.

oh and I thought of a name - like a vendor fair, call it Square Fair

This a great idea! I feel like a lot of sellers could impact from something like "Square Fair." I would actually recommend posting this over on the our Ideate platform. Within Ideate, we have a feature called "Feature Requests," where sellers are able to add ideas, improvements, or new concepts for Square products. Hopefully you can gain some traction for this idea over there and maybe one day our product managers could possibly implement this idea.
