How to set up product suggestions or recommendations on Square Online site item pages.

Hi Community 🙌

I'm almost finished setting up Square online for our coffee-roasting business's online shop.

(Moving from Wordpress to Square online.)

As we sell coffee beans, brew tech, and merchandise, it would be great to make recommendations for companion items. e.g. frequently purchased together

Can someone please help me on how to do this?

I've seen in old chat forums from 2017 that it was raised as a feature for development.

Thank you for reaching out, and welcome to the Square Community! ✨

To suggest companion items on your Square Online store, you can enable the Similar Items section on your item pages. This feature will display related items from the same category, helping your customers discover products that complement each other.

Here's how to set it up:

Sign in to your Square Dashboard.
Navigate to Sales Channels > Online > Website > Edit Site.
Select the Page dropdown menu, scroll to the Item Pages section, and click an item to view its page.
Find the Similar Items option and toggle it on.
If you prefer different text, such as "Frequently purchased together" click on the text to edit it.
Publish your site to apply the changes.

Now, your item pages will display a selection of related items from the same category.
