Paypal - Checkout Option

Hi, I have recently asked for feedback as I'm not getting sales. Almost every single customer of mine said that because I didn't have paypal option they didn't buy even if they weren't going to use it they look for it as they believe if a paypal option is there i am a safe and legit site. Can we put in a request to have a paypal option as I don't want to have to change to a different website provider.

Square Online no longer supports PayPal as a payment option for online checkout. We notified Square Sellers about this change via email in 2024.

We continue to support a range of fast and secure payment options to ensure a seamless checkout experience for your customers, including Square Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. You can find more information on supported payment methods and how to set them up in our guide to accepting payments on Square Online.

If accepting PayPal is essential to your business, you may want to consider one of Square’s ecommerce partners, such as Wix, which allows you to connect both Square and PayPal as payment gateways.

I was hoping to avoid having to set up a whole new website 😭 devastated that you don't offer this now. I wouldn't have been able client of yours at the time of the notification being sent out. And I didn't realise when I stared with you guys how important having paypal as an option was going to be.

Totally understandable, @Groovysistas - I'm sorry I don’t have better news to share. I want to be transparent with you, especially if PayPal is an important payment option for your business. At this time, it's highly unlikely that PayPal will be reinstated as a payment method on the Square Online platform.
