Why are my automatic quantity discount rules applying incorrectly to my items?

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Need to create discounts ( Combos ) for my pizza restaurant.

I need to create discount rules for my pizza place. I already have some rules in place, but they don't always function properly. For example, a set that includes two pizzas, garlic bread, and a drink is available for $44. However, if the customer orders an additional garlic bread, a discount applies to that item as well.

It looks like you have a few automatic quantity discounts set up. Can you please share the name of the discount that's applying to too many items?
If you sign in to your Square Dashboard and go to Payments & Invoices > Transactions, you'll be able to review all of your recent transactions and the discounts that applied to each order.

Thank you for your feedback. My current deal is as follows: 2 Family Pizzas, 2 Garlic Breads, and 1 Drink for $63. However, if a customer orders extra garlic bread or chooses not to take the drink, the calculation for the additional items varies, which leads to a loss on my end.

The discounts are structured as follows:

when a customer purchases any two items, a $3.33 discount is applied to each additional item (up to 3) of equal or lesser value.

I need to create a discount for an order consisting of 2 Pizzas, 2 Garlic Breads, and 1 Drink. If the customer orders one item less or one item more, the discount should not apply.

The automatic quantity discount you've set up (where $3.33 is applied to each additional item up to 3 items) doesn't align with your specific combo pricing goal. Let me break down why:

Your desired combo:

2 Family Pizzas ($28.00 each) = $56.00
2 Garlic Breads ($6.00 each) = $12.00
1 Drink ($5.00) = $5.00
Total before discount: $73.00
Desired price: $63.00 (requiring a $10.00 discount)

Current discount application:

$3.33 discount on first item (garlic bread or drink)
$3.33 discount on second item (garlic bread or drink)
$3.33 discount on third item (garlic bread or drink)
Total discount: $9.99

This creates some challenges:

If customers choose 2 Garlic Breads and 1 Drink as intended, the discount is still $0.01 short of your target price, as the final price is $63.01
