The title of this thread has been edited from the original: In my business the client must pay a deposit ahead of our responding to their request.

is there a link I can attach to my web site for the client to make a direct deposit into our square account with their credit or debit card?

I suppose you can create a non-physical item called deposit through the Online Store so they can pay with a card on their end. Since your client isn't purchasing a tangible product, no need to set a fulfillment method.
