How Can I Stop Constant Spam from My Square Contact Form?

Every time I add a contact form ANYWHERE on my website within minutes my inbox is full of this crap.

The capcha is supposedly working but it doesn't stop.

Dozens of nonsense spam messages cluttering up my inbox (which CANT BE DELETED FOR SOME REASON)

Square, this is insane. How am I supposed to communicate with customers when I get 1 legitimate message for every thousand spam bot messages?

This needs to be fixed ASAP

That sounds incredibly frustrating.

Are you using the built-in Square Online contact form, or is this through a third-party integration?

If CAPTCHA isn’t filtering out the spam, have you tried adjusting form settings, such as requiring specific fields or enabling email verification?

A screenshot of your current setup might help identify potential workarounds.

It's the built square online contact form with the standard google captcha. I guess I could try to add a mandatory drop down selection to see if that works, but I don't have high hopes. and I don't see a setting to require email verification.

@RBTGames2020, thanks for the clarification! If you're using a third-party integration, enabling required email verification if available could help reduce spam.

Square’s online contact forms do include CAPTCHA, but some bots still manage to get through. I’ve checked with our ECOM team, and at this time, there aren’t additional built-in options to prevent these submissions.
