Can I add a separate liquor tax on top of state tax?

Hi dvmullen,

Go to your Square Dashboard.
Click on Items to go to your Item Library.
Click on Sales taxes on the left.
Click the Create a Tax button.
Give it a name, set it's location, and set a percentage.
Once created - you can click Apply to Items and set which items have this tax.

You can also stack taxes together on items. For instance, you can create a local sales tax, and a separate liquor tax. Then only combine them on the items where it makes sense to do so.

Another time saver is when you duplicate an item (like a beer) it will retain those taxes you had set on the item you are making a copy of.
