Some online transactions are not charging tax.

For some reason in the last week and a bit, there have been three or four online transactions per day that have charged zero tax. I cannot figure it out, and it is a big issue. Tax is being collected on the same items for other orders. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. With this new weirdness, on top of the fact that you cannot set different tax rates on your online store, AND the insufficient inventory management and reporting capabilities (or lack thereof) I'm getting close to looking for another system. We have used Square since 2011 and it's been fine until now. Seriously pulling my hair out. HALP!

Has anyone else had this issue? I've searched and searched in the forums, etc. but can't seem to find a mention of this.

Can you provide the order number or numbers for some orders where tax was not charged? I looked through orders to try and find some but you do a lot of business each day!

Taxes will not apply to every online order you receive. You would only apply taxes to orders from states where you have a nexus, or business presence.

Can you post a link to your website, and let us know an order number that did not apply taxes? Thanks in advance for the information! 😊
