AMEX is declining transaction

I'm trying to bill an AMEX card provided by HP. It's being declined because AMEX is saying HP won't allow transaction thru Square. Anyone know why?

Oftentimes, we're not given an exact reason for a decline for privacy and security reasons, just a general declined message that returns to our system by the card issuing bank.

We suggest your customer reach out to AMEX or use another form or payment. @jim56

Thanks Justin. HP is telling me they will no longer allow AMEX transactions processed thru Square. My contact is trying to get more details to understand why.
