Why do my Online Store subcategories keep disappearing?

I’ve just set up an online store and the subcategories keep disappearing.
im also wondering if there is a way to order my items other then by what was last uploaded. Thanks

Welcome to Seller Community, @Ntom.

Are your subcategories becoming top-level categories, or are they disappearing entirely from the list of categories? One thing that might help would be to update Google Chrome - I see that you are using a slightly order version and it could be helpful to make sure you're on the newest version.

To change the default sort order of your items, do the following:

1. Go to Website > Edit Site

2. Click on the pages dropdown and select the Shop All page

3. Click on the Item List option in the sidebar

4. Click on the Arrange and add items button

5. Click on the Arrangement dropdown and choose whichever sorting you would prefer as default.

Hi Adam,

thank you for your response. I wok on the site from my iPad but my daughter set it up for me on her laptop. She didn’t know how to update chrome and so she switched over to safari and was able to change what became top level categories to subcategories (subcategories we’re both disappearing & changing to top level categories).
I’ve started with the free version for now. Is there a limit on the number of items, categories, and MB space with the free version?
