Feature Request: Can I set CC charges to wait until orders marked shipped?

I have a weebly site and when a purchase is made their credit card is charged right away. This is okay, except when I have an item on backorder or not ready to ship right away. Is there a way to set it to wait to charge the customers CC until I mark and order shipped?

When I order from other retailers online, this is often the case, and seems much more customer friendly, rather then holding onto their money for a long period of time.

I've seen the feature of not charging customers until the items are marked as shipped on other websites. Unfortunately, it's not a feature we currently have available. It's a great feature request though, and I'll update this thread if I hear something regarding development. Thanks again 🌻
