Square Online Release schedule

Does anyone know of an available release schedule for Square Online??

We currently use Square Online, but it sure seems antiquated. Very Limited Templates for the website; Use of Video is extremely limited; When I speak to other e-commerce businesses, i hear the age old comment.. There is no value in FREE and fight there recommendations to move to Shopify or build one with WooCommerce. I realize there are paid options with Square online but even then the features available do not seem to compare to so many other platforms.

It just seems that Square would rather us not use their online platform. Maybe a visible release plan to customers would help address the growing frustrations of trying to use Square Online to support an e-commerce business world.

HI, it is true that Square Online is not like the other sites. Other ecommerce sites have the pre-made designer templates and lots of other options with fees to match. Previous experience with Shopify, BigCommerce, Wix, PappaShop and more, I have found Square Online platform exceptionally easy and offers so much. The Square Online website editor gives creative freedom on two basic templates, Retail Format or Menu Format. The home page banner alone has 17 different style options available. A lot of store owners do not explore and click around the editor. There is so much to discover. The free plan is exceptional in what it offers and how much you can do and if more is needed, you can still upgrade for more options.

Thank You... I don't disagree that Square Online has reasonable functionality to enable an e-commerce business; At the same time, it seems to be falling behind other providers rapidly in regard to basic e-commerce functions; e.g. video on product pages;

The base of my question is that it would be nice to know what capabilities are being planned and when they may be available. If we see our concerns being addressed, great... if not... we have to determine how important they are to us and our business success.
