Deleted Items Showing Up as Missing Costs

In Square dashboard, the view that shows items with missing costs includes all the items ever deleted as well. Deleted items accumulate in the hundreds and thousands over time... This makes looking for active items with missing costs almost impossible! Reviewing deleted items can be very handy, but including them with active items missing costs is just not helpful. Perhaps, this could become a toggle on/off feature?

Hi @WildCountry! I'm really sorry to hear the frustration regarding your unit cost display here.

Even if an item has been deleted, if it was sold in the past without a unit cost, it will still show up as having a missing cost. You have a few options - you can go to the history tab and filter your time frame to a closer date, to show more recent items without unit costs OR you can add unit costs to these items to keep the list from piling up.

I will share the feedback with the Retail Development Team as well. 🙂
