Is it possible to have a customer pay only a deposit when purchasing from the online store?

We are a custom order business who has seem some great response to our store. However, because of the high dollar value of our products and longer lead times, most customers in the past pay a 50% deposit and the balance at the time of shipping. I know this is possible using Square Invoices and have done that on a couple of occasions.

Is it possible to set up the online store to allow for deposits for certain items or totals about a certain dollar amount?

We don't offer a deposit option with the Online Store at this time.

Utilizing Afterpay and payment third party systems like that is a popular feature request we're tracking in this thread here.

You could try using the checkout links for payment subscription-wise but I'm not sure if that's exactly what you're needing here.
