Adding Packaging Weight pre-paid

So all my items are ship by weight and each item has been entered...and we are talking a few hundred different items. Is there a setting to add packaging weight to the sub-total weight?

In other words, some orders four different items. That weight is calculated, but I need to add an additional weight to include packaging so as to prevent over weight charges from USPS when creating labels.

How do I add a couple of ounces to the item/s weight total for shipping before it is charged?

The only other option is to add a smidegon of weight to each item, but that would be problematic. There is a place to add additional costs associated with handling, but not weight.

Hi! I know this may not be the answer you wanted to hear, but I think the best path forward would be to raise the price of shipping for all the items by a little bit to help offset the cost that you're paying out.

yes, sadly there is no way to do this. Every time I call customer support I ask about having a default packaging weight that can be entered when I customize the shipping box size, but it hasn't shown up yet.
