Has nobody attemped something like this through Square Online? I'm open to doing some sort of manual setup or picture gallery if I needed to, but I was hoping there would be a way to create a separate page featuring all the "Sold" items.

Sold Archive Page?

I'm wondering if there's a way to create a separate page (link in the main navigation) where I can feature a "sold archive". Basically, once items go out-of-stock, they would flip over to this page. People could scroll through at some of the items that our shop has sold in the past, see the description and pictures etc.

Ideally, it would no longer display the price, or the "out-of-stock" labelling underneath – they would still be able to click on the product and view the description, dimensions, everything else, but it would no longer reside on the main "Shop" page. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks for any assistance!

OK, I just got offline with Square support. Figured I would post the answer here in case anyone else needs to do this. I need to:

Go into online inventory and mark items as "Hidden". I've also revised the item name to reflect "SOLD", and marked the price to $0. When you go to save the item as Hidden, it may give you a warning that items won't be visible on the website without a price. BUT, they will stay visible within "Featured Items" sections, which is what I'm using.

Create a new "Sold" page and add these $0 out-of-stock items in via a "Featured Items" section. Hidden items will still be visible in a "Featured Items" display, but they won't be visible in the main shop. People would still be able to access them if they have the URL, which in theory is now private/invisible.

That's the solution that will work for me. The customer would still be able to add the items to a cart, but given they'll only be found on a "sold" page and their descriptions will reflect that they're sold (and prices set to $0), I think this will be clear enough for my customers.

Thanks to Square online support! Hope this might help somebody else down the road.

Sorry, warning follow-up to this. Don't delete it from your catalog! This will in fact delete it from the featured items on your sold page, and everywhere else. I was told otherwise. Going to reach out to online support and circle back once this gets sorted out. Sorry for the confusion!

EDIT: I've revised my "Best Answer" above to reflect that you shouldn't delete the items from catalog, but instead mark them as "Hidden" within your inventory. This is the correct way (at least for my purposes).
