Quick Shop on Mobile

Hi! I have enabled Quick Shop on my website, and its great!.... but only on a computer with a mouse or other pointing device.

On mobile (I just tested it on my android, using Firefox mobile browser), the Quick Shop buttons do not show unless I tap on the item, which still takes me to the item page. I do not have a mouse to trigger the Quick Shop buttons on mouse hover, so they do not show.

Here are some solutions: 1) make all Quick Shop items show while being viewed on mobile by default, 2) after 1 tap Quick Shop buttons appear, and another tap navigates to the item page.

Hello @mainstreetbook1 Thank you for bringing attention to the Quick Shop button.

I'm a website designer that works for Square Online sellers and uses Square Online to sell my products and services.

We also observe the behavior that you described – the Square Online > Item Details > Quick Shop (screenshot is attached) button/feature is visible/usable in desktop view and not visible/usable on mobile devices.

Has anything changed since the original post about this?

Is it possible for the Quick Shop button/action to be active in mobile view so this important shopping feature is usable?

Hi there again, @taylorandjones - I received a reply from the Square Online Team. Here's what they let me know:

"The Quick Shop button will only appear when a cursor is hovered over the item on the desktop site. There is no cursor or hover on mobile devices. This is expected behavior."

Would the Square Online Team consider developing a static Quick Shop badge/button that launches quick shop pop-up when pressed in mobile view?

Enabling shoppers the option to quickly add/buy items while staying on shop/category pages in mobile viewports would be amazing.
