When we take payments over the phone, square charges a fee of 3.5% + 15Cents. So now we need to put the customer on hold , do our calculations on the side add it as an item onto there bill and then charge. Why can't you guys just build a button that is labeled "Manually Charged Card Fee" and have the calculations done on the spot ? The way we are handling it now is very back dated . Square, you want to charge extra for manually entering a card but you don't make it easy for us to make the charge either. Create a button that has this calculated already for us. No brainer.

Hello @Moonlight and thanks for your question. I'm sorry you're having trouble with the additional processing fee. Can I ask, how often do you have customers make a payment like this over the phone? If you have a majority of customers pay this way, you could set up handling this kind of transaction in a "backwards" sort of fashion. What I mean is...If it is not possible to automatically add/increase the processing fee, you could set your prices or fees to include the processing percentage. Then in the cases where a person pays in-person where you can swipe their card, you can apply a discount. You'd set up a discount of 3.5% and deduct that with just a click of a button. You could also apply another discount to cover the .15 cents if you needed to recover the cost per transaction.

I know this isn't ideal, but if you're processing a lot of payments in this manner this could save you some time in manual calculations. Hope this suggestion might help!
