Sub Categories Not Displaying in Item List

Hello! I have a category called "Stationery" that has multiple sub-categories and then one of those sub-categories (Notebooks & Journals) has 4 sub-categories underneath it. When I first created them the 6 sub-sub-categories would show up when you were on the "Notebooks & Journals" category page but now they don't. (Screenshot)

This is weird because I have another category that has the same sub-sub-category setup and that one shows up in the left-side nav the way I would expect/want. (Screenshot)

And the only way I can see the sub-categories I have under "Notebooks & Journals" is to be on the page of one of those categories. (Screenshot)

Don't know what I'm doing wrong here. Any ideas?

HI, do you have any items listed in the sub sub category? Does the sub sub category show 0 items?

Also, to add screenshots you can click the camera icon to add.

All of the categories have items in them, except for the very top-level Stationery category. (Screenshot)

Notebooks & Journals 0 items

then all categories as you have shown

There are 180 items in Notebooks & Journals.

The majority, yes.

shorts are listed in shorts

capris are listed in capris

skirts are listed in skirts

Bottoms would not have any items in the category such as your Stationery Category.

Notebooks & Journals 0 items

Lined Pages 78 items

Blank Pages 31 items

etc

So you're saying the reason the sub-categories under Notebooks & Journals don't display is that there are already items in Notebooks & Journals? That doesn't track because I have another example of the same thing where the sub-sub-categories still show when you're in the sub-category.

I don't see a resolution so I apologize if you have already solved this. Could it be that your items are assigned to the sub and sub-sub categories, but not specifically to the parent category?
